Directions

From New York, Route 4 can be reached from the East at Route 91 and from the West at Route 149 via Route 87 (a.k.a."The Northway"). Take Route4 thru Rutland, take the right turn towards Killington (Route 4E), then after Pico and after a steep downhill (2 minutes) take a right after 'Shops at the Shack'. Turn easily missed!

From Boston, take 93N to 89N, exit 1 in VT for Route 4, take Route 4 west for about 45 mins to the Killington Access Road - a left turn soon after the Killington Maintenance Shed when going up a long 2 lane hill (5 minutes after the Val Roc Motel and 2 minutes after the Route4 Skyship Gondola area). Left before 'Shops at the Shack'. If you reach Pico, turn around.

If you travel the Northway route, take the route 149 exit (Exit 20). Make a left at the light and travel approximately 1/2 a mile. At the light by the Dexter outlet, make a right onto 149 East. Take 149 into Fort Ann and make a left at the Gulf/Cumberland Farms onto route 4 North. (Route 4 N turns into route 4 E once you cross the VT border). When you reach Whitehall, watch the signs because route 4 makes a right at the light by the Shell/Subway station. Stay on route 4 into VT. In VT, route 4 turns into a four lane highway. At the end of the four lane highway, make a left at the light. You'll still be on route 4 E, but you'll also be on route 7 N and Main St. You are now in Rutland. A few miles and several lights, route 4 E will turn right at the light by the Exxon. Just follow the signs. At this point you are getting close. Stay on route 4E and make a right onto the Killington Access road. You are now headed towards the mountain.

If you travel up 91 into Vermont, take exit 10 for 89 North, go three miles to Route 4 West. Stay on Route 4 for approximately 30 miles and make a left onto the Killington Access Road. You are now headed towards the mountain.
